Sussex Interclub Round 7 @ Swallows FTC

Let theBanter begin, Monkey.Copied from events section.

    Prediction Buxted by 3.

No sooner is round 6 outta the way, than we hit the date for Round 7!!...

All the usual details herewith - unless I've forgotten any of them :

Held in the mixed field and woodland courses at Swallows Field Target Club, we will soon begin to sort out top places for the individual championships as the poorer scores of our leaders are lopped off (remember that the total score for the year is your best 6 of the 10 potential rounds).

Kick off as usual at/around 10am, with booking in from 09:00 and the zero range should be open from around 08:30.

Reminder to all junior/parent/guardian (and others who like to shoot together) to please join the booking in queue as early as possible.

Fees - as per our normal one for members and visitors - Age under 19 = £3.50, Age 19+ = £4.50

Food and drink (tea/coffee/soft drinks) available on site - from our in-house caterer (Stuart).

On arrival please follow the attendants' mad arm waving to park in the main field, as we cannot afford to clog up the fishermen's parking areas.

Which links splendidly with the usual reminder to be like church mice before, during and after the shoot - perhaps especially when on lanes 1-20 (the woods) which is adjacent to the big carp lake and its very sensitive fisher people

No guarantee that the course will be anywhere near as challenging as Rounds 5 and 6; so much will depend on the wind/weather.

    See you all soon.

Okay what did you have to, wake up early, to delete???

I predict that you can't possibly score any lower than last time!...

We will claw back a couple of points on this one, as long as we have a bit of wind!...If it is out of the yella shooting, we will cane you!

    Looking forward to this..

    Nothing just being more mature.

Its always good to have a few low ones to drop and come from behind.

Anyway Saturday afternoon I'm going to throw myself out of the Porta Kabin again.

All this extreme HFT no kill no score practice has us in good stead to give the

    Oakies an arse woopin

As long as Gaz has fixed his rifle by Sunday.
Simmo doesn't try to shoot on 50 mag again.(porta cabin stunt man)
Ben's gout has gone or we may need a wheelchair.
Matt hasn't crashed the Porshe (why is it blue?)
And there isn't too many 13 yard reducers as I'm a bit blind close up.

I might as well go the whole hog.

The gout is better today, no painkillers taken, but I have a limp in both legs (you'd think that would even things out and leave me without a noticeable limp but hey ho). That Buxted air must have done me some good.

As for Gary's rifle, I think my evil eye needs a little adjustment (it must be a few clicks out) as I was aiming for Mileoak. I think that English lot in South Africa might have copped a bit too.

    Swallows

Thanks for a great course and good weather to boot.
Congratulations to fellow Hobbits, hope to contribute with a good score one day. Difficult when you belong to a club with such good shots!!
Keep trying Oaks maybe the colour you wear is not lucky.

Congratulations to shooting partner Jon Kelly, Jolly Green Hobbit on getting a Bronze on 6th HFT shoot.

    See you at next SIHFT

Thank you Swallows, really interesting course. Some great shots, I liked the watering can in particular!

Wish I could have read that wind better, I thought I had the field cracked and then...wallop! Good testing stuff.

88 entrants today - a record I think, well done all, great fun

Thanks all at Swallows (apart from my annoying shooting partner Bethan ) for an enjoyable shoot, the wind ensured another clearance wasn't on the cards... so much so that Mr 'clear round' Botting gave up after 3 doughnuts

See you all next month for Horshams round.

Nicks at home now bending his barrel so he ' can prove ' his gun was off

It happens - and remember Nick , the same people who took the pee yesterday are those same people who were chuffed for you on your 60 last time at Swallows .

88 people saw Buxted win today, now that is fantastic.
