Following Nick's post about Mike at the Elite Shooting Centre I paid a visit to look at the pistols they sold. I now want a Tokyo Marui 1911. Can't make my mind up betwen the Colt 1911A1 or the MEU version, or even the MEU Night Warrior. http://www.eliteshootingcentre.co.uk...%20Pistols.htm
Anyone got any experience, comments etc on these?

Been there, bought it, tried it, sold it
How would you describe the blow back action, does it throw your aim off much? They do appear to be quite accurate, how did you find it?
Thanks mate

Very difficult question to answer except with other questions, have you fired 9mm semi, have you previous experience or training which is relevant, the blowback on softies i have fired is not as snappy/quick, but using correct techniques any pistol with blowback should not throw your aim
whilst you may wish to use one for fast fire, timing if correct will allow you to do so & maintain point of aim, but i must say there are many people with greater knowledge than me on this area of shooting i have not done anything of this kind for many years know. I would suggest you try first with a borrowed pistol before investing in one, not all take to it atb...mike...
I've taken the plunge and bought one. A very nice 1911A1 MEU in black
I should receive it Thursday, ooh can't wait
I'll give you all a report soon.

The TM 1911a1 is classed as an RIF so is affected by the VCRA.
I know Mr. Cripps and have dealt with him before but if you are not a registered airsoft skirmisher with UKARA or a skirmish site then it would be illegal for him to sell it to you unless it's brightly painted.
I collected, customised and built my own airsoft for many years and had a huge collection but stopped when the new laws came into force as I didn't want to/couldn't comply with the new legal requirements.
The new laws only affected new airsoft guns but I pretty much lost interest after the VCRA and sold most only keeping a few favourites.
