2010 Odd Ball championships at Nelson

This event is the Annual get together of the UK Chinese Air Gun enthusiasts .

This year will be a multi get together , obviously it is aimed at owners of Chinese air guns, but if you want to pop over for a look see , you are welcome to bring what ever you have.

Enter , have a shoot , enjoy the ambiance , and maybe go home with one of the many fantastic lucky draw prizes that will be drawn.

The format will be based mainly as a fun shoot , loosely following UKHFT rules.

Starting with a 20 shot HFT course , followed by a 20 shot standing silhouette shoot , an Egg on a pole ( 1 shot only , any position) and a standing FT shoot ( short range ) .

Classes :-
Chinese CO2 with optics
Chinese CO2 open sights
Chinese Springer with optics
Chinese Springer open sights
Any other make of rifle

One entry £10 , multiple class entries £12 .




The event will be held on Sunday 11th July 2010 at – kicking off at 9:00 am .

Directions-
At the junction of the A470 and A472 travel East on the A472 (Mafon Road) towards Nelson. After approximately 1 mile you will see the Railway Inn on your right. Turn right (South) at this junction into Llanfabon Road. Stay on this road for about a mile until you see the cemetery and the Llanfabon Inn on your right. Bear right into the narrower road across the front of the Inn. The club is approx 500yds down this road on the right.

Not to worry Brian, the event is held at a different location each year. Next years is proposed to be in the Ipswich area and the year after, either the North East or Scottish Borders country. Last years event was the inaugural one and though the attendance wasn't as large as hoped for we expect it to grow year by year as the forum membership increases (quadrupled since last years event). The emphasis is on a fun day out, nothing too serious at all, though I expect the 'Open' Class to be hotly contended when the Chinese guns come up against any other make. Given some of the scores from last year some might have to modify their opinions on these guns as a nicely tuned gun

If this does come to Ipswitch (or 100 miles radius of Cambs) you can count myself and Dad in! Sounds like an absolute hoot so a real pity its just a bit too far to travel this time. Will be dusting off a Westlake, Dragon and curious pump-up thingy in preparation...

Saw some of the prizes today ... 2 rifles being given away !!

Scopes , binos , pellets , chrystal vases , numbered prints , wine , & the list goes on .

I wish to say thanks to all the organisers & shooters who attended this well supported event .

Fantastic day out in Wales, some really great kit out there .

A huge spread of prizes , 3 rifles , binoculars , and really usefull accessories.

Huge engraved trophies & a glass vase for the best rifle on display ( had to be used in the comp )
