I'll second that - they are not bullet proof and NPs are possibly the ideal construction for this job.

I used 175grain Nosler last year........ Did the job.
Upon reflection, I would opt for a semi-auto shotgun with solid slugs. We were shooting up close and being able to 'rattle off' three shots in very close sucession would have been a distinct advantage IMO.

I would give Barnes TSX a go, I've used them on all types of deer with great results.

150 grain bullets work fine on boar. Puzzles me that DEFRA, in their infinate wisdom have recommended a minimum calibre of .270 for our very small population of boar, but in Germany, where they shoot over 250,000 boar every year they seem to manage it with a minimum of 6.5mm.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

Just use heavy for calibre, well constructed bullets. When it comes to driven pigs, even decent shot placement will rarely stop 'em right there. Heavier bullets definitely give an advantage. Nosler Partitions, Barnes X/TSX sort of families are good choices.
