Meteor MK4 won't cock

Hello All

Quick question - I have a Mk4 Meteor that I leant to a friend for his son to have a go with. He's brought it back and it won't cock - but maybe every 6 tries it then cocks - but won't fire - but will if it's knocked

Any ideas what's going on. Unfortunatley I only shoot the guns and don't ussually mess around with them inside.

Try adjusting the trigger pull srew/thread,if not it my be oversprung, meaning piston lug can`t meet the trigger sear

This could be the sear worn or its pin broken, the screw may need adjusting (try it 1/4 of a turn at a time),a broken sear spring or a worn or holed piston. Best you can do really is to ask if there is anyone local off here who will have a look at it for you.
