Was a little perturbed today to see two chaps turning up to buy from me and i felt a tad awkaward.
Crikey - it was an honest deal.
Anyway - the mrs was ready for them

When I went to purchase a PCP from a chap at a large services, he got it out to show me and dry-fired it a few times (it was charged). It was on CCTV, and watched by a horrified family of European tourists in a camper-van.
There were a few other unfortunate ones I remember, but that will do for tonight!
In fairness, I often take a mate that knows more about what I am buying than me. If he/she as an owner and user of the same brand, reckons it's a good deal, I pay cash there and then. Nothing sinister, just bringing a (good) advisor. At the end of the day my decision to buy or not, but having a bit of good advice may swing it either way. It is far better than buying blind and then cursing .....
Just my take on this, no diifferent to taking a mechanic when you buy a second hand car.
Take care, Matt
All in black, all in black, gives wabbits a heart attack.
Never felt the need to take a mate to a buy/sell to be honest.
Probably something to do with the fact that they are rolling up to a perfect stranger with a (sometimes) large amount of cash in their pocket!
All the best

Hi,
Ive had a truly horrible experience when I sold an air rifle (another forum). We arranged to meet halfway In a pub car park late afternoon last winter. He arrives twos up in a car with a mate. We exchange pleasantrys , I show him the rifle, he shoulders it left handed, it was a right handed stock! He says to his mate what you think and passes it accross to him. His mate then pulls back the bolt opens the tin of pellets and loads it up!!
Whoah I shout! To which he says it will be ok and starts taking a shot at a pigeon on a nearby bridge. I took the cash and got out of there sharpish. All this was happening at the 5.30pm rush our with people stuck in the traffic watching on!!
It pained me to be selling my pride and joy to two such muppets!
