Arrow 10m Round 3 Season 3 starts tomorrow

Yes, it's that time again guys and gals the 10m competition starts tomorrow.

Links to the rules, downloadable targets and the email address for submissions are all in my sig.

For those of you planning to shoot tomorrow, please also try to participate in the UBC's tribute to one of it's first members - Number 22, Russ "Firestorm" (Ladyfingers ) Smith, who sadly passed suddenly at the age of 49. Russ might have been diminuitive in stature, but he was huge in personality. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the inaugural UBC get-together at the Greyhound, and his quick-witted banter and good nature was only surpassed by his love of air pistols and his devotion to collecting them.

I know it's a pain re-setting to six yards, but if you have the will and the time tomorrow, all the details for the Russ Firestorm Anniversary shoot can be found >>>Here<<<

Results for the Firestorm shoot must be submitted to Paddy by midnight tomorrow the 17th, 10m scores must be in by 2200hrs on Sunday 25th July.

Good luck, steady hands, have fun.

Thanks for the 10 meter announcement, and for the reminder about Russ' shoot, Mike.

Well, while I had the Compact out for the Firestorm shoot I took four paces back and had a quick ten at 10m.
It's a bit windy today, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

I still have to shoot the spring so I may well have a sneaky second go at the SSP, later in the week, when the wind has dropped. Thank God for the lighter evenings.

Oh dear! I've just measured the distance I shot the Compact over, it's only 9.7m that means my score is inadmissible and I'll have to shoot again.
That's what comes from not using my proper range, my four paces backwards obviously weren't 1 meter paces (although another 6" and I'd have been in her prize flower bed).
Back to the measured 10m tomorrow then (different part of the garden) and hope the wind drops.

Ban him indeed, I'm allowed ten practice shots. Aren't I? He's just narked 'cos I pipped him in the Firestorm shoot.

I've been tied up this week with preparations for a business trip to London yesterday and didn't get back until late last night, so apologies to all those who have not yet received a reply to their submission email.

I'll be going through them all, replying and updating the scoresheet this evening, so please bear with me.

If you haven't already shot, then make it count this weekend - scores must be in by 2200hrs Sunday night.

    Regards,

    Mike.
