    Old Pump - Safe to use?

    Hello All,

    Stirrip pump been stored in garage for 12 mnths safe to use? moisture etc?

    This depends on what kind of stirrup and what kind of rifle..?

    Some rifles (as the FXs) have airtubes that cant rust and they are therefor not as sensible for moisture compared to rifles with steel tubes.

    There is also different types of stirrups with different arrangements to prevent moisture, such as watertraps..

    .....for 'sensible for' read 'sensitive to'.. an easy mistake to make in this stupid language!

    Not complaining Johnny - and you're quite right.

    Give a it few pumps first (after keeping it indoors for a day) to clear any moisture then go ahead, I did and it was fine.
