For me it would have to be my Theoben SLR98, multishot and no pump or bottle needed.
    All the best

Multishot, no pump or bottle needed, AND the gas ram system to boot!

    What they said. HW80.

Simple classic design, easy to maintain. Over engineered, good set of open sights.

    Totally grunt proof.

You'll struggle to get 40fpe out of an 80 IMHO.
More like 22-25 ish in .22, maybe a little more in .25.

Looking round my collection I'm stuck between my trusty old HW77K in .22 and my Theoben Grand Prix in .177. I reckon the HW77K might just shade it though. Just an all round more practical and dependable shooting stick IMO.

For a pistol, I guess I'd go the HW route again... or maybe an old BSA scorpion if power was the issue, but for something rugged that you could keep handy in a pocket, any of the old Webleys would work for me.

I like the scene where Hawkeye, the British officer, and the Indian Chief are translating back and forth between English, French, and the Indian language.

Is that where the old chief refers to them as "Eengees"???? It made me think maybe that was where the slang, Yankees came from. In that case Yankees are English??????

I do not think any air gun would be up to the task in this situation.

I'd agree, for the most part, if we're talking about self defense. I disagree, if we're talking about hunting for the pot.
