    Remington Info Please

    Hiya Folks,

My wife has a Euroarms .36 cal 1858 pistol, in stainless fitted with fully adjustable target sights. I've seen a lot of 1858's made by various firms, but they were all marked "NEW MODEL-ARMY". But my wife's 1858 is marked "OLD MODEL-NAVY", which I've never seen before. Has anyone got any information on this version, as we never took a lot of notice before and I only noticed it, when I totally stripped it down and started polishing the stainless and she would like to know something about this version, as she's in the process of selling it and would like to tell the buyer as much as she can.

Any information will be extremely welcom !

    Thanks in advance.

    All the best

I was told a long while ago that the navy was .36 and the army .44,the reason was it took more to kill a soldier than a sailor .
