    Old flintlock ?

    A few weeks ago I posted in the general section about an old flintlock my girlfriend was left in an old friends will. This is a pic of the gun I hope someone on here can help with any info on it;

    It looks to be a 19th Century Afghan Flintlock Jezail , these come up quite often at auctions, but the quality varies hugely.......I have seen them make £80-800!

    If you google the above description, you will get dozens of hits from gun traders, auction houses etc.......good luck!

    Edbear2 is spot on.
    The only additional information I can add is that the lock is an Indian Pattern lock (Brown Bess) of the type used on British muskets after 1809 or a copy of one which is most likely.
