    Milbro Information

I know like a lot of peeps here that Milbro was a Scottish firm that toook over production of a lot of post War Diana origin airguns . Apart from that where were they , how many airguns did they manufacture , and when did they stop ....the brand of Milbro is I think still linked with the pellet manufacturing side , which was taken over by the firm down in Suffolk - [Eley /Taylor ] .
For years Milbro played a big part in the UK airgun scene and yet there is very little info available now .

The company was Millard (I think) Brothers, hence the Milbro name.
I have some more info n a catalogue somewhere - will try to find it later.

The Millard Brothers (Milbro) Co. was based in Motherwell, Lanarkshire, Scotland, and got use of the Diana name, as part of Britain's post war reparation package (after this, and until the use of the name Diana was returned to the German company, Germany's Diana company traded under the brand name of Original). Milbro Diana went into administration in 1982.

The best and most noted rifle Milbro ever made, was the Series 70, Mod.71 Major, which had/has a deep fish-bellied target type stock. These are very rare, and rarer still in .177 (but I've got one ). Milbro Diana also made the action tubes and sundries for the .20 calibre Eddie Barber Airgunaid SP-5 Hunter custom special (and I've got one of them, too ). Hope this helps. Atb: G.
