    Hw 55 mm

    Hi folks, I have a bit of a conundrum.
    I have a 55 MM in pretty good condition, shoots lovely and is all there, genuine diopter sights,accessory rail,barrel lock, lovely piece of wood and looks as it should when compared to other pics found on the net.

    EXCEPT it does not seem to have a serial number, it has the usual numbers on the barrel breech end. And it has 86 stamped on it just in front of the trigger block on the underneath. I have looked everywhere on it and its just not there.

    Any ideas??? Did they miss some numbering? Anyone had this before?

    Hw55

    Later 55,s had the serial number on the underneath of the barrel next to the breech
