Shepreth Summer Safari results 21-22/8

I think we were very lucky with the weather this weekend, only getting rain overnight, but enjoying warm and dry conditions for the shoots. The fun shoot on saturday afternoon was a tad on the windy side, which also made the long shot (side shoot) a bit tricky .

For the night shoot it was reasonably calm and produced some good scores, particularly Jeff using a new boinger for the first time .

A good turnout for the main event today, the Safari course, with a few people not missing many and some others missing a lot. Well done to Martyn for a great 59 but missing the really easy kneeler - good shooting mate and i'm sure it won't be long before you get clear round. A very big thankyou to those who helped with the setting up for this weekend, there has been a lot of effort to get it all sorted and to Sarah and Sue for doing the food all weekend. Last but not least, thanks to all who turned up and made this a weekend to remember.

Now that was fun!!
What a cracking course!
I don't think my little Daisy has had as much use in the past 25 years at it had this morning. I even managed to hit some of the blighters just not necessarily with enough Ooomph to knock them over

From Dad's resigned face I think he was rather hoping this would be another idea I just needed to work out of the system.

Ooooh!!! The cogs have been turning all afternoon and that little lightbulb (the one above the left eyebrow) keeps flickering on and off... I think I've got a Crossman lurking in the wardrobe, yep, another pumpy-uppy one, but the de-luxe model with a proper wooden stock. It'll probably do more than 4ftlbs too... so if I were to pop a proper scope on it, like the 8x56 I've got gathering dust on a bench.... ooooooh!

If anyone else would like to re-live a Sunday afternoon garden plinking session circa 1984 for the next open we can fill the air with that delightful *clickety* *clack* of multi-pumps!
Speaking of which, I appear to have lost the use of my left arm....

I must confess, the most fun I have had at Shepreth is Knocking over a 45 yard Kneeler with Mr. Andrews dodgy old sidelever Daystate Especialy when he had missed it with his Mk 4
