    No wind today !!!

I've been watching the weather forcasts & this morning I was out early, wet grass, no wind, no breeze, no waveing grass or moveing leaves, absolutely perfect.
I took a selection of 5 pellets & chose the best.
Set 7 different targets & away I went.
    15mm down to 5mm.
One shot hit every target, done it twice then changed shooting position & the two smaller ones prooved difficult but got there in the end.
Yep these wind less days make all the difference, glad I was out early.
As I type this I look out of the window & still no sign of a breeze, back to grotty weather tomorrow ?
Now I've got my new scope set up I can try for a bit further than 25yds
I wonder when the next windless day will be ???

    Thought for the day

You really have to make the most of days like this, the weather up here has been shocking. The sad thing is most of the time the very rare good day we get is when you are stuck at work.

I've been waiting for a day like this for ages & with the scope roughly set up I couldn't ignore it just to make sure & see if It needed a tweek & to make sure nothing moved after the initial zero session in the garden.
Hitting high at 25yds but that suits me fine, less messing when I get out further.
It would of been ideal to try a really long shot but Im still unsure about pellet choice yet so slow & steady.
At least my scope change seems worth the cost & hassle.
I've been useing a wind "map" site & the BBC weather forcast site so got things ready last night & hoped for the best as I opened the curtains.
Forecast wind was 5 mph but to me it seemed perfectly still & as I type the leaves outside are motionless.
I wonder if any body managed a long shot today ???
