    Hello All

Having moved out to the country again after spending the last 15 years living in London, I'm looking forward to picking up this hobby which I used to enjoy so much. Looks like things have moved on a bit since I put my BSA Superstar back in it's bag all those years ago...

How easy is it to get permission to shoot over land these days? I used to have a couple of farmer friends back home so there was never an issue having somewhere to go.

    Hello and welcome

With regards to finding shooting permissions, it's down to a bit of hard work - finding out who owns the land - seeing if they have a vermin problem - write some letters and try and get your foot in the door.

Keep at it - you'll soon get lucky

    Thanks chaps.

Any recommendations for a rifle that will be comfortable in the field as well as on the range (I quite fancy a crack at some field target shooting). This time around I'm lucky I don't have to save my pocket money to buy a rifle :-) so budget isn't really an issue (within reason!). Maybe some kind of multishot PCP?
