    Could just be cut for the lever to rotate as on Tracker and AA guns.

    iv just looked at my 52 stock and its slightly different to the one pictured
    Mine has a cut out for the anti bear trap about 6 inches down the inletting on the highest side
    other thatn that it is very similar

    Hmmmm

    Upon looking through my copy of The Airgun Book (John Walter), there's the 380 series of Anschutz that is sidelever and definitely has the cone shaped transittion crom cylinder to barrel..
    From this pic, the front stock bolt looks similarly placed too.., maybe someone wanted to turn a target rifle into a sporter

    The conical bit seems to be a trait of only two companies, Anschutz and M&G

    Need it identified then sold Binners....me drinkin funds are severley depleated..

    Good post John...the front location bolt hole looks to be about right where the conical transition is...but the rear location hole is in front of the trigger on the one shown...on this stock its at the back of the trogger guard.

    He He He...yes but I was hopeing this stock might make me some spondolos towards me beer fund...but there again it looks like it would burn nicely..
