How to increase the power of your rifle.

Bear with me mods, read through before deleting.

Many threads have been posted on here in the past about how shooting and shooters are constantly under barrage from the anti-gun lobby, possibly more so now that hunting with dogs has been banned (or will be next February).

It always amazes me how the perception of shooters and their equipment (steady) can be so misjudged by Joe Public. If you were out with a bog standard air rifle, I have no doubt that Joe Public, if called upon to comment upon your activities would mention that you were out with an air rifle. Fair enough. If, however, you were to place a telescopic sight atop your pride and joy, Joe Public, called upon again to comment on the scene before him, would no doubt add that you were armed with a high powered air rifle.

So for all you posters who want to know how to increase the power of your rifle - simple; put a telescopic sight on it!

A bit like painting bike engines black (in my youth) was good for at least another 20bhp!

....but then the draylon 'leopardskin' covered seats and fluffy dice add mass and drag which slows 'em right back down again.
