    Smile old hammergun info

    hi guys im looking for any info on a side by side hammergun made by A & E WADSWORTH Pontefract (England and local to me) . it has damascus looking barrels witch look twisted? and on the flats it has the number 13. on one of the flats it says choke and on the other an upside down looking 7? in the same place. there are also what looks like a hammer and pick axe crossed. the proof marks look like a crown with what looks like bp underneith. is this gun black powder only? the serial number is L526any info would be greatly recieved.

    Have a look here and see if you can identify more proof marks , See if you can rub white chalk into the marks to help you to see them.

    thank you for that! it looks to have the markings with the letters B3 and B1 next to them. I take it this is black powder only? . thank you.

    It needs to have a stamp with BNP on it or NP for it to be nitro proofed , With only the stamps you have mentioned it is black powder only proofed.
