    Jamison Brass

I'm thinking of ordering some Jamison Brass for my Martini Henry, from the States. They work out at just over $3 each, if you buy 100. Works out at about £192 + postage/duty. The same brass made by Bertrum from Henry Kranks works out at £435 + postage. Does anyone have any experience with Jamison brass.

    Hi,

I ordered some 375 Cheytac brass from Jamison International this year, Kathy was very efficient to deal with, fast shipping, and the brass was of good quality, and much cheaper than the Horneber brass.

You could try getting the brass direct from Kynamco who are in the UK.
May save yourself some dosh in the long run!
You may have problems getting brass sent from the US now.
    Try Buffalo Arms.

I was thinking the same thing regarding shipping to the UK. Buffalo Arms look the best bet for Jamison brass. It's cheaper that buying direct from the supplier. I'll check out Kynamco.

    Many thanks folks.

I tried to order some 577/450 cases from Buffalo Arms in December 2009 and this is the email I received.

Hello, sorry to say that as of about a month ago we can no longer ship rifle and pistol brass overseas. We can ship them to an exporter but this is quite expensive (in excess of $300) so we would suggest a community order to spread the cost around to multiple people. For now we will have to cancel this order. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Thank you

Shame as they're considerably cheaper than Kranks.

You would have thought Kynamco would go out of their way to contact YOU when they have it in stock!
I contacted them about getting some Brenneke 12g slug as they are the official importer.
Had a first reply asking how many as they dont keep it in stock!. Hmmm.
I said 5000 and never heard back from them.
I dont understand the gun trade in the UK and probably never will.
That said,if Kynamco do come through with the MH brass I would certainly be in for 50 and also 200 310 cadet cases.
I would also be happy to buy more if it brought the price down.
    Cheers,
    Tony
