    Doghouse Hide

I was thinking of buying a doghouse hide. Has anyone bought or used one? If so what are they like and are they worth it?
    Cheers

    Doghouse hides

    Phil

Asked the same question myself, earlier in the year.

Got this reply from Guy (moon on this BBS)

"I was looking for the same thing last year. Try www.ameristep.com
I bought a "Doghouse" and it's fantastic. Proper 3-D cammo in Mossy Oak Break-up which is perfect for UK woodland. Completely blacked out inside so that birds/animals can't see you through the windows. About 20 seconds to put up (and about another minute to add roof poles if required) and room for two adults on chairs plus coolboxes, airtank, etc. Window on all four sides plus smaller shooting holes with mesh that can be opened instead. Door big enough for an adult in a wheelchair to get in. All folds into a disc of material about 22" in diameter by 4" thick and drops into a supplied backpack. Comes with full guy ropes and will withstand serious wind. The material is very tough and thick (this surprised me for a foldaway)."

I went direct to Ameristep in the USA (as he had done) and ended up importing three! Two in different cammo and one for a friend. Buying direct and even taking into consideration import duty, taxes, and UPS Expedited air freight, they worked out AT HALF what they are charging in the Airgun press!

Cant recommend them enough. Superb pieces of kit. Email or PM me if you want/need anymore information. I also have the email addy of Chris Marsh, one of the directors of the company who dealt with my orders personaly.

Hope this is of some help.
