    Webley Book

If Smiths have run out I have a slightly worn copy for a mere £300!!!!!

    I'll be at Bisley tomorrow.

Sorry only joking. Strange how they are sending out the books perhaps its by alphabetical order?

    Got it.

    I bought mine from here:
    http://www.halebooks.com/index.asp?TAG=&CID=
It arrived in 5 days (including the weekend) and I've just finished it.
It seems that I paid more than others but the service was excellent. The courier sent an email saying when I could expect to get it (to within an hour) and they were spot on!

I can honestly say 'I have never read a whole book in my life', but from what I have seen in the first few pages, this will be the first and not just because some of my rifles get a mention.

Very well done Mr Thrale and thank you.

Then you have denied yourself heaps of pleasure!

Let's hope Chris's book makes you a convert - I locked myself away and read it straight through. I am now reading a chapter a night after the initial indulgence.

What it has convinced me of is that I want an Eclipse and a Patriot.

    Wwebley Book

Congrats to Chris for a magnificent work[of art] and to see a gun mentioned by serial number, which has passed through my hands, makes it even better. Now back to the reading.

You cynic, Chris. It's an unwanted gift. Says so in the description so it must be true.

Damn thes night shifts. Was asleep today (yesterday strictly speaking) and awoke to find postie had been and left me a parcel collection ticket. It can only be one thing, and I'm itching to get my hands on it. Parcel office opens at 07:30, so that'll be just in time for me to pick up on my way home from work.

Well, I've now had a chance to peruse the book and I have mixed feelings about it. Certainly can't fault the quality of it, but for the price they're asking, for me at least, the mistakes and ommissions do let the book down.
