I have to take Sammie, as she pays. I'm not allowed more than a fiver in my pocket because she knows I'll do a runner

We could have a whip round.

There are certain places around the Greater Manchester and Blackburn areas that I wouldn't take cash without at least three minders.

Reminds me of the time I sold a car on fleabay and agreed to meet the Welsh buyer half way along the M4 at 9pm in the layby.
I took the wife and kids for the ride and a lift back obviously.

Upon arrival we were met by TWO cars both full of very large welsh chaps in long leather coats and shaved heads .....think Welsh mafia

Maybe I should have gone 'tool'd up' with a few 'mates' also. ??

most times i am on my own if i am buying a few pounds worth of goodies from a unknown seller.

but if i have cash on me say over a few £££ then i would ask a mate to wait in my car, just in case if i DO NOT KNOW the seller.

best be safe then sorry folks, as some folks would rob you for a few pounds these days.

Beautifully and succinctly summed up, sir! This is a major reason for many of life's little problems today, imho.

Back to the thread, I don't have a problem with someone coming with a mate/advisor to buy something but I don't normally feel the need to do it myself.
