I have recently started prone shooting with my second hand Finnish lion it is complete with open sights and hand stop, but the hook is missing (the part that attaches the sling to the hand stop, can anyone advise me where I could aquire this part with out buying the hand stop as well.

which type is it Mick?Anschutz do 3 different ones a normal hook,a ball on a stem and one which is like a cylinder with a nipple either side of it which fits into a claw on the handstop,if you let me know I will have a look to see which type my spare is

The NSRA sell the hook seperately, I think at about £5.
DOH! Read the OP. I saw some handstops with ring at the Bisley Arms fair last week, they were in an "Os & Ss" box at about a fiver.
