    Terrible news..

I met him once as a child at the Midland Game Fair. Very funny, though I couldn't understand his accent.

    RIP

What a shame. I met him a couple of times at Rough Wedge, he was a good bloke to talk to. One of those rare people that you like straight away when you meet them.

    RIP

Sad news,Micks engineering was genius and not one for keeping his tips secret, he loved to spread his knowledge and was responsible for getting me into meddling, top bloke and wicked humour. Was nice to see him earlier this season.
A sad loss & another good guy gone. RIP Mick, thoughts with Pat & Family

Mick Dawes, one of the cleverest men I have ever met and a true gent, a honour to have known and talked to him.

Mick's wife, Pat, called me today to ask if those of us who knew him could let others know that Mick has passed away.

The funeral arrangements are yet to be finalised but as soon as they are known, one of us will post them on here.

    Thanks.

I am sad to hear this news. On the few occasions when I met Mick, I was impressed by his skills and knowledge. The guns he made were very innovative. I was impressed by his patience and willingness to share his knowledge. A sad day.
