Hardly New!
At 60 I'm well past being new at most things, but this is my first post here.
Over the years I've played with and owned a variety of firearms etc, but now I'm down to just one, a Webley Eclipse ( Carbine 12inch barrel ) in .22.
It's used exclusively to control fury tailed tree rats in my garden. I am lucky enough to have a very large walnut tree and whilst the grey squirrels love the nuts, so do I, the difference being that I have a gun, they don't.
I have some questions about scopes and pellets but will save them for when I find where to post questions on this forum.

Welcome to the BBS.
The pursuit of the tree rat is a noble one. You will find plenty of people here who share your view on them.
I used to have lots of squirrels in my garden. Not seen one for a while now.

18Wheeler, thanks for the welcome.
I dispatched 23 last year, but not so good recently.
I have a Simmons 4x32 on the gun at present but have had difficulty in maintaining a consistent zero.
I found that the lateral adjustment turret was loose and when I tightened up the covers it changed the zero.
I'm in the market for a new scope and am after a fixed power, probably 6x.
Anything more exotic would be wasted on my gun.
Any suggestions welcomed.
