    Reference book for 70-80's springers

Christmas is coming, and I'm looking for a reasonable reference book for 70-80's spring powered air rifles, it could also include 60's ones as well. Can anyone recommend a good all round book?

    Thanks John

HI John......I always have this around.....It is good as the variety of guns covered is so wide, even very old ones.

    Hi John,

As Ed says, The Collectors Guide To Air Rifles by Dennis Hiller (4th Edition) is a good choice. Henry Kranks have it for £20, not sure if that includes P+P though?...may be worth giving them a call.

The Hillers book are excellent but dated.
Do a 'search' for The Blue Book of Airguns O.K., the prices are in dollars but its easily converted. Published by Blue Book Publications Inc. Editors, Beeman, Allen and Fjestad.

    1970`s-80`s

If you want something written in that period, then you should look at "The Airgun Book" by John Walter. There are four editions:- 1st 1981,----4th 1987. ISBN`s are 0-85368-257-7, 0-85368-518-5, 0-85368-675-0, & 0-85368-882-6 respectively. Any of them give a nostalgic reminder of the times. Google ABE Books and do a search using the ISBN`s.

Any of these would be my selection too... (starting with the latest first and working backwards if you have a choice)
