Wonder why Series 1 Airsporters always break on l/h side?

Was just pondering this. Seen three now, and they are all broken on l/h/s.
Googling it all the other ones I found are similarly broken. How peculiar!
A friend is gluing my series 1 now, if just glue doesnt work I will try dowels. Will perhaps try and use a plug cutter to hide them.

Because they are cocked by right handed people usually.

Therefore the way the stock gets stressed is normally on the same side

Find a right hand side split and you usually find a left handed shooter

    Hell-bent on compromise

I used Water-Proof PVA Wood Glue on my Mk1 and clamped it over night and its worked a treat.
Did this about a year ago and still no sign of it opening up.
just nod your head and smile

Cheers Matty boy, that makes sense. I am left handed so probably will be gluing r/h/s in 40 years from now
