There's no flashlight but its 4 times more powerful. The only added bonus to more power on an airgun though is awesomeness. There is no practical application I can see for a visible beam!
Needs a weaver rail as well.
If at all possible, I would avoid any models that has 3 grub screws to adjust the vertical and horizontal tracking of the lasers POI.
Turrets are generally the way to go.
A company called Soviet Bazaar used to do these and by all accounts, they were pretty good if not a bit industrial like a lot of russian ex mil kit.
The torch/laser model seems to be turret adjustment but I would do your homework. Another place to look at is dealextreme - though treat with caution as whilst there are some decent buys, it is interspersed with a shed load of crap.
Damn this accursed slydexier, deslixia, slesdex-e-her. Well damn it anyway
What about the humble BSA green laser/torch combo which retails for £79 from www.Uttings.co.uk. It`s a good unit which is ideal for short range ratting.![]()
I sell lasers and recommend the blue laser for ratting. Green for daytime shooting as this is the most powerful and brightest.
be vary wary with cheap green lasers, especially the ones on the well known auction site.
Lasers give out a lot of infrared light which you can't see. But they are very dangerous to your eyes. Laser power meters however cannot distinguish between green light and infrared light. Although they measure both. Some inferior laser pointer will normally be made up of mostly infrared light. For example a 100mW inferior laser pointer is likely to have a combination 20mW green (532nm) and 80mW infrared (808nm). More expensive green laser pointers and portable lasers have infrared filters inside them that block infrared light.
This is vital to protect your eyes. Some laser pointers have had this filter removed or have been manufactured without the filter. Without this filter, these laser pointers are very dangerous because the infrared light can damage your eyes.
Just a thought, these cheap green lasers that give IR light
will theses also be visible through night vision ????

Yeah that's true and I agree and I think this is why they are looking at banning laser pointers as they serve no real purpose apart from to "point" at things (astronomers excluded). Whereas laser sights are used in a much safer environment and serve a purpose, just like a scope does. Be it out hunting or doing a bit of target work, the user will already be taking maximum precautions becase they are using the air rifle which is far more dangerous, so I think the dangers of the laser sight itself is minimal.
The Mystery lasers work well but are delicate and don't like been dropped 3 foot onto a concrete floor..![]()
