Would you buy an Eclipse with a gas-ram in it?

I seem to remember 'ramming' Trackers was quite popular years ago (poor things), but an Eclipse??

Doesn't the Eclipse have an alloy chamber?...take a good look at the air chamber endplug holes, make sure they're not stretched out and ovalled...I'm sure I've seen an Eclipse that was knackered by an Ox spring the same way...

Definitely not. Vandalism of the highest degree, IMHO.

I'm in agreement with Dave. (I must go and lie down and it will go away).
Alloy chamber in the Eclipse caused power fluctuations with the temperature. Over complex loading system - not one of Webleys best.

ian i think power fluctuations had more to do with the rubbish PTFE piston seals webley fitted in thosedays' go shooting on cold days 10ftb on hot days near 12ftb the later parachute type seals on later
mk3 vulcans/stingrays/longbows etc cured the problem but webleys were still rubbish

..and I have no idea about aluminium/alloy and parachute seals but when I started shooting in the '70s, my dad bought me my first air rifle, a Webley Falcon that I loved. It had to be a Webley as they were the 'Rolls Royce of air rifles' back then. How times have changed.
