    I also have a Huntsman.
The Huntsman with the synthetic stock is called the Shadow and I dint believe they are made any longer.
I found the walnut stock on mine wasent a great fit for me as it felt a bit too narrow but they are both nice looking stocks.
I now have a CS700 thumbhole stock on mine (photo in signature) which improves handling a lot.
the synthetic stocks are supposed to be a bit lighter and take knocks a little better and dont scratch as easily so are usually used for hunting purposes.

Correct me if Im wrong but I thought they are both wood? The shadow (which was a limited edition) was just dyed walnut?

I have a Huntsman, and love it.

I think you're right too - so wood would be best
