    Is it a Gem or a Tell (.177 rifle) Can you help

    I've aquired a .177 vintage air rifle and I'll post pictures after Christmas.

    The breech locks to the action with a "Dolls head" (as found on 19th century shotguns). The No. is four figures 7### stamped on to the hexagonal to round barrel.

    The stock is of a high quality walnut.

    It certainly sounds like a Gem...does it have any other markings?...

    There are a few scans of old catalogues at the link in my sig that may be of some use in helping ID your Gem...
