I suggest you get onto the guy who sold it to you if he didn't mention this fault assuming that you bought it as a fully working pistol.

I got a s/h colt a few days ago.
When it arrived i realised the guy had disconected the saftey by removing a little plate.
This means when i try and shoot the gun with the hammer pulled back it jams.
Can anyone tell me how to reconect the saftey or send me a link on how to do so?

If you get it to the point where you have the gun apart and post a photo I have a couple in bits on the table, I'll take some detail shots of how the bits should be.

i went to my local range and got the pistol working perfectly after giving it a good oil with napier power gun oil.
great little gun once it is going.
just need to buy a new sight for it now.

do you know any other places that sells them because there are none in stock?

i have contacted chambers asking when they will get colt sights in.
i will let you know what they say
forgot to say chambers have now got the sights in stock and i have orderd them.
They will be getting sent on the fifth special delivery so looking forward to test it.
