    Hi ya.

I think you have got two seperate patterns on one gun.

I know where you're coming from with the shadow effect, however I think on yours it's more contrasting

It all depends on your actual shooting enviroment you use as to which pattern works best.

So whether you put more tape on the stock or paint the action the green/black design.

    Regards
    Paddy.

Sorry to piss on your parade mate, but I believe you've ruined a perfectly good S200.
    But that's just my opinion.

barrel and supp is taped. the stock is painted and let in with tape to create the effect of depth, think bit of sandy colour on stock just to lighten it a bit and create shadows. i hunt in pasture and woodland.in Cornwall. so naturally light soil.

If you really want a camouflaged gun why not have the work done professionally? Your result looks amateurish, I'm sorry to say.

I can't work out why you've put such light coloured stripes on it - is it for a 'disruptive' effect? I presume the covering on the barrel and 'scope is the same as the stripes. It's too light in colour and looks all wrong. There's not enough different shades of green anyway.

As I said earlier I don't want to piss on your parade but you did ask for opinions.

fair enough. I hunt in the Cornish countryside so we have a very light and dense colours down there. and to do a pro job cost money( which if you haven't noticed) not many people have these days.especially as i am raising a family they come first.so your welcome to pay hydrographics to do it for me . or just get over the fact i had to do it myself for cost sake.and the tape is APG so its a forest pattern anyway. its there to break up outlines. last time i checked rabbits didn't watch Gock Wang.(google camo sniper rifles and you will see very random and amateur patterns)

hi i ad the same problem, cured by drilling through the bolt handle into the loading probe then threaded a grub screw into the lot. http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/...61/bolt003.jpg

i think it was worked out rabbits see clearly for 50 yards.
    feel vibrations at 100 yards
and smell at at half a mile.

You asked for opinions and you got mine. As it's now obvious you didn't want to read any adverse comments, perhaps you shouldn't have asked the question in the first place!
I was trying to be civil about it but to hell with that - it is a bloody mess. In fact it looks pathetic! As I previously stated, in my opinion you've buggered-up a fine rifle but it is your property and you can do with it as you like!
As for googling sniper rifles, I don't have to as I know none of then will be British Service rifles issued to our Military ( the Tech QM would go apeshit)- we tended to leave that sort of thing to all the Wannabees' that infest the internet
    Some advice;
If you don't want to hear the answer, don't ask the question!

Excluding any insults I get, that's my last comment in this thread.
