    S10 seal replacement

My Bsa S10 is losing air pressure , in that the first shot of each mag. is always down by
70-100 fps (.177) hence I assume it needs servicing but don,t know where to get replacement parts (seals?) anybody know anything about the regs. on these or done the job ?

    Hawkeye,

Can we clarify the problem. Is it the first couple of shots after the gun has been left for a while and/or buddy bottle recharged? Does it then work fine? I have had this on mine since forever, I dry fire it twice before I put the mag in, then no problem at all. I did post this a few years back and apparently "they all do that". Two shots to fill the reg. and all has been well for many years.

It,s first shot only then if there is any delay (3or4mins) I get the same again on next mag . is this same/normal ?

It would seem that your regulator is not working well, so the EXCESS pressure on the exhaust valve results in it not opening sufficiently.

It is leaking more air into the secondary chamber than it should, gradually, so if you fast fire all is well but if you let it sit, then you have a problem.

Not such an easy fix, if any doubt of your capabilities I would recommend you contact John Bowkett. The S10 is probably one of the fiddliest guns to work on.
