Best silencer for BSA Hornet?

Could someone suggest a good silencer for (my neighbour's) non-FAC BSA Hornet single shot .22. Where to buy one (mail order) would also be useful. TIA, Chris.

After (not) hearing the new Weihrauch silencer the other day I would certainly recommend that you see if you can try one. Have no idea if it would fit though.
It was on a shiny new HW100 and was quite awsome. I could barely tell that it had been fired.

Hi,

BSA actully make a silencer, which is designed around, and specifically for the Hornet. It is called the SAS (special acoustic system?). I had one fitted to my SS Hornet, and it was one of the quietest, if not THE quietest gun I had ever fired. I imagine you could get one from any BSA stockist, and I think they are around £40 RRP.... I paid £30 for mine with the gun.
