Any one got a copy or template of one i could use, need to get the land owner to sign it , so i can go off and lamp an army of bunnies .

Here's what i got signed from the golf course i shoot on, they were not even bothered that i had to have a letter.

To whom it may concern,

For the purpose of vermin control, I grant:

XYZ

Permission to shoot with an air rifle on the following land:

• *** **** *** ****

*** **** may have a person (to be nominated by *** **** ) to accompany him for assistance in clearing the land of vermin at night using lamps and during early / late daylight hours when no patrons are in the close vicinity.

The nominated person can only shoot on the land mentioned while in the company of *** ****

The shooter/ shooters will behave in a safe and responsible manner, using good shooting standards at all times and respecting the wishes of the landowner and following all applicable laws applicable to vermin control.

*** **** will carry up to date 3rd party shooting insurance.
His nominee will also require 3rd party shooting insurance if he/ she is going to be using a rifle. (None needed for lamp work).

A copy of this letter is to be carried at all times whilst on the property.

You may want to leave out the bit about permission to shoot with an air rifle. I don't suppose a golf course would be cleared for rimmies, depending on where it was, but for other types of land it could be a pain in the proverbial if you start off with air rifle but move on to rimmie, but have to get a new letter of permission before shooting.

Im also looking to rewrite my permission letters, to help with my FAC application.
Instead of "air rifle" try legally held guns, rifles or weapons (not sure which word is best) this will cover you for all types of shooting

I've found this sufficient for me:



To whom it may concern,
For the purpose of pest and vermin control, I grant {NAME of {ADDRESS permission to shoot with rifle or shotgun on the following land belonging to myself:

• Land description 1
• Land description 2
• Land description 3 .......

For the purposes of lamping, {NAME may shoot with one associate, but at all other times he must be unaccompanied.

The shooter and will behave in a safe and responsible manner at all times and respect the wishes of the landowner.

The shooter and will carry appropriate, adequate and up-to-date public liability insurance for their activities.
