Other that that the missing name is PREDOM LUCZNIC

Look it up and the gun model KJ 188 http://hem.passagen.se/tobbeochricard/plkj188.htm

Probably worth a wipe over and keeping as is really.

A serious rifleman has owned that at sometime, look at the Parker Hale aperture sight !
Might still be a good shooter now with some fettling !

Wow, whoever owned it before has gone to the trouble of milling out a slot for the new sight. As mentioned earlier, Predom Lucznik 188. Not worth a fortune... even in good nick. I have one of these and the Predom pistol as well. In good condition, no more than 50-60 quid I would guess.

Thanks everyone it was the rear sight that made me buy it,well that's what i told the wife, well i think i'll give it a tidy up as it feels a bit gunky when cocking, o yeah oversight very good.

    The six hole aperture looks to be a BSA 1909 pattern....it should have;

B.S.A. PAT. 21332-09 stamped above the rotating eyepiece......I would get the whole rearsight assy. off and get in in some plusgas, as just the eyepiece has a fair/high value.A vgc eyepiece of that type will make £30+ (and sometimes a big plus!).

Shame it has been stored in the damp or whatever, but it may well come back with the old oil/wool tratment.

Hi Keith......The PH 16 is the model of base only...ie all the unit except the eyepiece. It is threaded to accept a be-wildering array of types...you'rs just happens to have a BSA (I think)

PH made all sorts of eyepieces, mini, large, cutaway,( to suit the service rifle), with or without elements, filters, shades etc. etc. single or 6 hole.....you could have a collection just of these!

    Some here

    See what I mean!

Get it clean and have a look over the disc with the holes in.....

This one ...... is less rusty, so you can see all the blurb!......yours is still a nice freebie though mate.....if the screw head on your one was cleaned up a bit, It would improve the overall look no end.

Instead of wire wool & oil try wire wool soaked in blueing solution
while taking off the rust it lays down some blueing ! Still will be a bit
speckley but looks much better !

    lucznik rifle

Nice find Stewit, the rearsight looks like the one for a Webley Mk. III Supertarget with the BSA variable aperture added. A period custom rifle, might even shoot well with a rebuild.

Thanks for all the info and tips, i'l give it a gentle clean and let you know how i get on,
the adjuster for left and right is solid so i thought maybe I'd warm it in some oil gently.
any tips before i try, again thanks great section never fails.
