As you have knocked on doors, and posted letters etc, have you not recieved any feed back?.

Maybe you could join a local club, and get to know people, from this, given time, you may find an open door to a shared shoot, you can not fast track trust, it has to be earned.

As above, and you will have to get known and trusted by landowners/farmers or you will not have much chance.
It is vital to have suitable insurance ie BASC, CLA etc.
    Be polite and keep trying.

Sometimes a more indirect route can work i.e ask anyone you know, although friends/acquaintances/neighbours/workmates may not have any land themselves they may have an uncle with a farm or an auntie with stables or a rabbit problem at their footy club ground or something else

Go to your local gun shop and become a bit of a regular. Get to know the staff etc...

If you get on they may recommend you to farmers etc that come in asking for pest control advice. This is how I got a couple of permissions.

Also get talking to the other regulars and soon you will be out on their premissions with them.

Appearence and unfortunately age can often work against you.
