Hi
Here's the HW35e that I bought from Blackrider, it doesn't actually say that it's a 35 or even that it's a Weihrauch but rather, it's just marked EUSTA in a horizontal diamond
It has the 22" barrel, one sided safety catch and 13mm scope rails, 1976 was the approximate production date..
The rifle...

The EUSTA mark
There was a problem with the trigger in that i think someone had messed with it as the weight of pull screw wasn't original, a cut down bolt with a slot aby hacksaw?? unless this was how they were back then but I have a 1972 model with no safety that has the normal recognisable shiney screw behind the blade...
I bought another Rekord unit cheaply and it's beautiful now
Trigger
The other one i have from 1972 must not have the original barrel as it's a 19.5", I thought the standard ones were 19", though i do recall reading somewhere that some 35e were fitted with a 19.5" barrel, I just can't remember where I read it
I also have a 35k but i can't remember the length of that one...

Here's the 1972 model

hw 80custom, , hw 35 luxus, hw35 std,
Having used one of Ians HW 35 Exports in the field, I can only comment on how well the gun shot following the loving care of Mr Jones' grubby mitts upon its action. The long barrel was a pain in the arse though!

And him a writer for the monthly magz. Typical.
We used to have a real old timer regular customer call into the gun shop were I helped out. He had a Daisy pistol which, in his words -
"I go home and enjoy shooting it up my back passage!"
Thats when I usually had to go in the back of the shop and make a brew. Mind you, he was from Bolton.

It's a bugger aint it Ian
It seems like Archant will photograph anybody they can find holding a HW35.
Just look at this ugly git http://i1138.photobucket.com/albums/...Picture017.jpg.
He's got more chins than a Chinese phonebook.
Though he did manage to hit the tree.

So thats the way to correctly hold an HW 35! I thought the gun felt a bit unbalanced the other way round. That must be were I have been going wrong all these years. It just shows you how important it is that shooters receive proper training from an early age. It will now take me several years to perfect the "barrel out front" method instead of my usual pushbike mirrors when standing in what has now turned out to be the wrong direction. You are all just cruel. B-----s.
