    "Collectors fair"

    As stated above;

I'll be sharing a stand with "Johnbaz" whereupon they'll be shooting gear, fishing gear and a few more "interesting bitz n pieces" besides.

Really looking forward to this now !

    Cheers !

    Airgun Fayre Update

Great News: I have now had it confirmed that our licensed bar will be open on the day of the Fayre.

So far the following tables have been booked:

    Billyboy and a colleague - 2 tables
    Ian from Cannock
    M and A Horne
    Phil and Anne Russell
    Johnbaz and Blackrider

RFD's cannot display there but commercial traders who are not RFD (such as sellers of hunting kit or clothing) will be invited. Local RFD's are welcome to sponsor prizes in the raffle.

There is room for plenty more tables. We can accommodate at least 40 full-size tables.

    More sellers are very welcome.

A dedicated website for the Airgun Collectors Fayre will soon be online together with a dedicated email address for enquiries and bookings.

Grateful thanks go to the team who run AirgunBBS for allowing us to use their forum to organise this event.

Two full tables added for the "Melbourne Marksmen".

Glad to have the Melbourne Marksmen on board. I hear they are fanatical collectors.

8 tables so far. Room for up to 40 tables so more are welcome.

Don't worry, Sutton Coldfield's not as posh as it once was and shooters are only required to wear a dickie-bow when posing with a Walther LP53.

You are most welcome ... I would make this a sticky, but if I did that, no bugga would read it.

I make a special point of not reading 'stickys' unless it specifically mentions Relum Tornado!

I somehow think this thread will not disappear off the first page.

I must add that I.J. is foaming at the mouth in anticipation of this event.

When I pointed out to him that it falls on a non competition day and that plenty of members may be interested in attending, his response was “ balls to that, I will be there before anyone else is awake”. You have been warned.

It was also suggested that he should take up a table. His surprise reply was that he had nothing to sell.

A certain female member sneaked up and did the dirty deed while we were all discussing the gaseous discharges from Kevs dogs backside, or it could have been her perfume..

Will any of the ranges be available for people to try out pistols and rifles which are on sale?

    Hi, Garry

The plan is to have a "fumble-zone" where guns can be test-fired at short-range into a safe backstop. This will also allow for chronographing if anyone is concerned about a gun approaching the non-FAC limit.

Still room for more sellers. Only £20 for a full-size table including two free entries to the show or £10 for a half-table including one free entry.
