    Explosives Licence

I'm looking at the Police COER form to Acquire and Keep blackpowder and was wondering if someone could clarify one section ?

In part 6 you say where the blackpowder is to be kept and its either,

    Police Licenced Store
    Police Registered Store
    Other legal place of storage

Assuming its going to be in your home then is that the 'other' option ?

Yes - don't forget the form is for companies/organisations as well, that can store far more than the personal limit (but that has to be in designated storage facilities). Mark it as other and fill in your address. There is no limit for you to fill in as you have a limit imposed by law anyway.

Don't forget you will also need an RCA document to allow you to actually get and move black powder. The Explosive licence merely allows you to keep the stuff.

Peter Starley has guidance on this here.

You can't get this until after you've got your explosives cert though; don't you love joined up sensible rules and regulations?
