Strangely enough I have had this with over lubrication though under causes it as well. Have a look at the 'foot' at the end of the link and see if it is worn, also there is a small spring inside it meant to keep said 'foot' at the correct angle, could be a problem there.
If all else fails strip it, clean it and reassemble - worked for me before.
