Pretty sure that was made by IGI, via Gun Toys SRL.

In the UK the Panther de Luxe R077 (RO72) was similar but with a black stock and a straight shoulder piece.

Aha, whilst writing above - it is a Kimar marketed equivalent of above, missing all the sights and scope rail. (Page 151 in The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols).

Its a Panther Artillery Carbine .177, marketed by Sussex Armoury in the early 80's.....the stock is not the original.

    Currently produced Kimar version

The basic pistol only (the K720) at least was certainly imported until recently (it may still be) - I remember seeing it advertised while mail-order was still allowed.

The stock is correct for the Kimar, no idea if it was ever sold in UK.

If you want a copy of the relevent book pages let me know and I will email them.

the thread in post 6 shows the Kimar with black pistol grips, the Panther Artillery Carbine I had in the 80's was fitted with the brown plastics....so is it a Panther with a Kimar stock or a previous Kimar version?

    Can anyone answer that?

Never seen a Panther carbine with brown stock but logically if the Panther had them then so did the Kimar. My (black stock) Panthers date from the early 80s.
