1000 g = 15432.336 gr
Hi Guys
I'm just looking at reloading components and trying to price up rounds. Powder appears to be sold by the kilo (or .5 kilo) so I'm trying to figure out how many grains are in a kilo so I can get an idea of how many rounds a kilo will produce.
Cheers,
Dan

7000 grains to a pound , 2.2 pounds to the kilo = 15400 grains
I weigh all my powder in grams now, I have a little printed conversion chart to hand to double check but having to keep swapping from grams for the shot to grains for the powder is just a pain and there's really no need to do that.
As an example, my recipe for a 32gram load is 23grains of vectan A1 which is 1.49 grams and working out how much powder you have left becomes instantly easier.
Many thanks guys.
Roodles, I did Google it first, and got answers relating to grains of sand and grains of rice. Neither was relevant.

And have you noticed that many of the small cheap digital scales do not do grains ?? (but 0.1 gm = 1.54 grn)
