since it's probably canvas and/or leather I would suggest that dry clean is the best option.

I have just purchased a very good second hand prone shooting jacket, whilst trying it on this morning when it arrived in the post, my wife made a very valid point, how do you clean it? It has no cleaning instructions on it, are they dry clean only?

well, when i used to shoot , I never dry cleaned my jacket/trousers! and I didn't know of anyone else going to that trouble either. I merely hung it on hanger and aired it out between uses.
Ok Chaps we have now established what a dirty bunch we are, now I have to explain to the wife she must leave it dirty or I wont fit in with the other boys LOL.
Thanks to all
