year of manufacture ( webley mk3) x2

Hello , can anyone tell me the age of a pair of mk3 webley's ?1 is a .177 ser no B1657 stamped into under-lever, the other is a .22 ser no A2046 stamped into under-lever.

B1657 was made during the week ending 14.2.1973, and assembled by 'Dave'.
A2046 was made during the week ending 19.2.1967 OR 6.6.1970 - would have to know exact spec to tell which.

Certainly: The book is called "WEBLEY AIR RIFLES 1925 - 2005" by Christopher Thrale.
Published price £70 but generally available for less. Now sold out at the publishers but many still available with traders.
Reprint with early errors removed in hand.
