Anyone a member of rivington riflemen.

Hi all, new guy here getting back into air gunning after a good few years away.........an anti shooting wife who threatend divorce when I got a rifle delivered a couple of years back.......oh how things have changed.....

After a great deal of deliberation I chose to opt for a daystate harrier x2 ambi stock. I was wondering if any of the members of the forum are members of Rivington Riflemen.

Im planning on popping down on the weekend, understand that usual guest days are a thursday, but due to wife being on a sign language course Im buggered to get down there on that day.

Could do with a little bit of help setting up the system, zeroing in scope etc and having a general chin wag.

    Any offers....

There's a new club opened up, called Bolton Air Gun society... Run by a fellow called Tony T, aka sniper22 on here.

Dunno how near that is to you, but he's got all the details, or else the website:
    http://www.boltonairgunsociety.co.uk/news.php

    might help.

feel free to email me or pm me or go on our website www.boltonairgunsociety.co.uk
we are a club which promotes a safe place to shoot without the 6 pages of a4 with rules and regs on them. the only 2 rules are be safe and enjoy yourself. we meet at a farm between bolton and horwich at 9.30 sundays. bring a knockover target and we waive the mebership fee for a year.
£3 to shoot all day and if karl gets the gas sorted we have bacon buttys on tap before we go to the range.
the targets change week to week and its in a woodland setting.

All I wear is my beloved DPM...

Guess I wouldn't fit in well at RR?

Must get over to your new club sometime though Tony. Sounds like a laugh Failsworth was OK, but the 104 stairs nearly killed me each time.

Wear what you want as long as it doesn't clash with 'Gladys' dress.

Don't be put off by untruths. I wear my pink cammo at Rivington all the time, good job animals are colour blind.
You'll get all the help you need Lancs Lad unless you've got your white rose gripped in your teeth.

lancs lad, feel free to make your own mind up about which of the two clubs you want to join.
if you want to shoot indoors at the same targets each week or outside in the open air at targets that god only knows what range they are, its up to you. im not getting into a "our clubs better than your club" debate youll see for yourself when you visit both of the clubs that we have a different outlook on whats acceptable to members. at bolton air gun society we dont have many rules, except the primary one of safe shooting.
    see you after youve decided.
