    Newbie - Meteor Mk 1

First post so be kind. My wife has had an old airgun in the loft since we got married. I am told its a Mk1 BSA Meteor .177. Its in its original box, still has the paper targets and metal target holder and the air weapons final inspection cert with a serial number of NH 60927 (set at 4 1/2Lb!!). I wouldn't sell it because it is a childhood memory but what it is it worth out of interest? There may be a few bits missing from the box but in whole it is in very good condition.

Hi and welcome to the best bit of the BBS . Hard to value without photos to show condition etc, but a ball park figure has to be i.r.o. £150 (ish) and rising. Hope this (sort of) helps, and once again, welcome to the BBS . Atb: G.

    Meteor

NH = a Mark 5 Meteor so perhaps not so collectible as a Mark 1 Meteor. NA would be a Mark 1 meteor...Fluted stock will tell.

MK 1 Meteor Serial Numbers only go up to 54,000

Post a photo mate - or email one to me and I'll host it

Oh - and a warm welcome from me too mate

Ahhhh .... If a MK.V, halve my guesstimate as above (should've taken the time to check the numbers ). Atb: G.

    Meteor Pictures

Thanks Matt for loading the pictures. Are we in agreement its a mark 5 then? Thought there would have been a model number/name on these somewhere?

    No worries mate

    it's a MK 5 Super Meteor Circa 1978-80

Value as per photos, boxed etc. around 100 quid.
