I have been asked to host some pics for the valuation of the above. I dont seem to see a thread for it, so I'll start one.

    Eisenwerke Gaggenau?

An old friend has asked me if I can get some idea of the value of the air rifle that Neil has very kindly posted some pics. of. I am told it is a Eisenwerke Gaggenau. He is thinking of selling it to help fund parts for his Velocette Motorcycle.
    Thanks again Neil.

Hi that looks like an Eisenwerke Gaggenau Columbia model to me, very old around 1860.
A few more pictures showing the whole rifle both sides and the stock would help...

I don't think it is an EG Columbia, although has some similarities.

If you look at the Eisenwerke catalogue <HERE>, this rifle seems quite different to any of the EG range pictured, although I dare say it doesn't show everything they ever made. I think the Columbia is no. 19.

Whatever it is, it looks very impressive!

    Eisenwerke Gaggenau?

As has been suggested I will get some more pictures of said item and hope to get them posted later in the week, so the experts on these old beauties can have a better look.
    Ta for now. John

Barrel looks very Gem'esque, so I can see the possible Eisenwerke connection. Couldn't really call it a Millita either. Are there any markings on the gun/rifle?

Is it it in full working order? Is there any sloppiness in the breech lock up?

Can't help feeling I've seen one similar somewhere but can't quite place it.

For rarity alone, it has to be worth £150+ and probably more

    Kind regards,
    John

If you Google "Eisenwerke Columbia" those same pics are the first to come up - hosted on the Daisy collectors forum. There's obvious similarities but the "Columbia" doesn't have the more conventional cocking link connecting to the piston, whereas the rifle in the pics Neil posted does have one.

    Eisenwerke Gaggenau???

Thanks to all who have replied, any more info. will be very helpful. The stock and the trigger guard on the columbia seems the same but the action if different with the barrel latch along the top of the air chamber.
